Quansheng
Dual-band FM at under a hundred dollars, but the TK11's spec sheet leaves more questions than answers.
3000mAh
Battery
The Quansheng TK11 is aimed at new licensees or budget-conscious operators who need a basic dual-band handheld for simplex voice work and local repeater access. It is not a radio for operators who need memory management, digital modes, or any serious configurability. Think of it as a walk-the-dog radio or a loaner for a newly licensed family member, not a shack cornerstone.
The 3000mAh battery is a genuine bright spot for a radio at this price, offering reasonable runtime for casual field use without the anxiety of a smaller cell. Portability scores are middling but acceptable for a handheld. The VHF/UHF FM-only feature set, however, is where things get thin: no DMR, no APRS, no cross-band, and critical specs like TX power output and channel count are simply not published by the manufacturer, which is a red flag for anyone trying to make an informed purchase.
At this price point, the value proposition is weak given how little verified specification data exists. Operators who need a dependable, spec-transparent budget HT should seriously consider the Baofeng UV-5R or Radioddity series before committing here. The TK11 is hard to recommend without more transparency from Quansheng.
