Wireless programming via the TIDRADIO app reduces the friction of initial setup, which matters when you are working with 199 memory channels across three bands. The water resistance is not IP-rated, so treat it accordingly.

On value, this radio scores exceptionally well for what it offers at the price. Features depth is middling compared to more established platforms, and the lack of formal IP certification is worth noting for field use. If you want entry-level APRS functionality on a tight budget, this radio delivers; if you need proven durability or a polished firmware ecosystem, look elsewhere.
