Overview
The GM-15 Pro is Baofeng's mainstream GMRS handheld, and its appeal is simple: a genuine Part 95E grant from 2022 at a price that competes with the uncertified two-way radios sold beside it. It runs the familiar Baofeng interface, ships pre-programmed for the GMRS channels and repeater slots, and covers the 462 and 467 MHz pairs the service actually uses.
Build quality is exactly what fifty dollars buys, and the 8 watt figure on the box is a transmit-power claim rather than a range promise. What matters is that it is legal to use on GMRS once you hold the license, which is more than can be said for much of what Amazon returns for the same search.
