Overview
The GXT67 PRO is the handheld Midland points at buyers who want the MicroMobile experience away from the truck. Its 2023 FCC grant is certified under Part 95 Subpart E and covers the 462 MHz main channels and interstitials plus the 467 MHz repeater inputs at just under 5 watts, so the repeater capability is real rather than a spec-sheet claim. It is IP67 sealed, and it is the only Midland handheld in our catalog with a current Part 95E grant behind it.
The honest problem is price. Midland sells it in pairs, so the Amazon listing reads around $440 for two radios, roughly $220 each, which is Rocky Talkie money without Rocky Talkie's cold-weather battery engineering. If you want certified GMRS handhelds that talk to your repeater and survive a wet trail, it earns the money. If you mainly want several legal radios in the family car, the Baofeng UV-5G Plus does that job for a fraction of it.
