The RA86 is a repeater-capable GMRS mobile with 5 and 20 watt settings on its 2022 Part 95E grant, from the same Shenzhen Ysair OEM behind the Retevis HA1G. What separates it from the crowded 20-watt field is that a gain antenna comes in the box. On GMRS the antenna does more for usable range than any watt figure on the packaging, and a budget mobile bought without one usually ends up costing more once the buyer works that out.
