Overview
The Retevis fiberglass GMRS mobile antenna is 48.2 inches (1224 mm), built as a three-section fiberglass whip on a flexible spring NMO base, with 16 feet of RG-58 coax and mounting hardware included. Retevis rates it at 6.5 dBi and 50 watts.
At close to 1.8 wavelengths on the GMRS band, this is a genuine multi-wavelength collinear, not a loaded stub, and our model independently lands at roughly 6.1 dBi, close enough to the claim to call it accurate. That length is also the tradeoff: 48 inches is real commitment on a vehicle, and the spring base is there specifically to survive that length flexing on rough roads and low branches rather than snapping.
